Our RAP stands as a commitment to supporting and promoting our vision for reconciliation. We acknowledge the RAP is a continual process and we will add to it and grow as a team and as an organization. Goodstart Wondall Road welcomes all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and remains committed to sourcing and attending opportunities to increase staff and community awareness of the longstanding and continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and as the cCustodians of the Land on which we live. This respect is woven and embedded into everything we do. We’re focused on building connections, celebrating First Nation peoples’ cultures and providing an early learning environment where all children feel welcome.
Our vision is based on Reconciliation Australia’s well-established themes of relationships, respect and opportunities, which aligns with our own organizational values of respect, compassion, integrity, perseverance and celebration. Our vision acknowledges and respects the diversity and richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples 'cultures across Australia, and the importance of providing culturally safe services that meet community and individual needs. It is our goal that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage is embedded so respectfully and deeply in the future that it is entrenched in our being, belonging and becoming. We will continue our RAP journey to create opportunities to learn from, and work together with, the local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
We will strive to foster a culture of inclusion and cultural responsiveness.
