At Perfect Start Mary Street, we are committed to upholding honouring and respecting the ancestral wisdom and enduring connections of Australia's First Nations peoples to Country, particularly the Dege Quandamooka community. We celebrate the diversity of cultures, languages, and beliefs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations peoples, honouring their sacred ties to Country. Through respectful collaboration with the Dege Quandamooka community, we continue to deepen our understanding of the Land and strengthen relationships with the †Traditional Custodians. The Ngariba Dada (speak strong) ritual serves as a daily acknowledgment of Country, highlighting the importance of recognising and honouring the Traditional Owners of the Land that we inhabit. Education is at the core of our mission to empower individuals within our community to advocate for reconciliation
At Mary Street, we value the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their cultures., individuality, and community well-being. By respectfully embedding these values in our operations, we will create a culturally safe environment where every individual feels welcomed, respected, and valued. Our ultimate goal is to provide enriching cultural learning experiences and opportunities for our young learners and their families, to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Australia's First People.
Through our collective efforts, we strive to create positive educational and wellbeing outcomes, deepen connections, and inspire a lifelong love of learning and respect for reconciliation.
