Here at OAC Carindale we continue to build mutual ongoing relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and commit to fostering and demonstrating respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures and achievements.
Here at OAC Carindale we take the time to reflect on our own service culture, recognising our strengths and weaknesses. This supports the development of cultural awareness and understanding of each others diverse cultures while ensuring we respect each unique culture, in particular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.
OAC Carindale will continue to build and strengthen reciprocal relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders and community members. By supporting First Nations businesses and charities, and contributing to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander causes we aim to inspire reconciliation within our community.
OAC Carindale believes we can learn from and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, particularly the Yuggera people of the local community.
Reconciliation is a very important part of our program and is grounded in respect and developing positive relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
