Goodstart Early Learning Browns Plains Wembley Road Centre acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia, on which we live and learn each day and help guide the young leaders of tomorrow. We recognise the Traditional Owners’ continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures, and to Elders past, present and emerging.
We respectfully teach the children that attend our centre about the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, and about the truths of Australia’s shared histories since colonisation. We build relationships with Elders and community members and continue to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures so that we foster an inclusive environment for all children.
Reconciliation is about starting today to create a future where we are respectful and proud of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures. As a community, we take the journey towards reconciliation together with our children, educators and families. We build relationships, nurture respect and continue to create opportunities to learn from, and work together with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
