At Kenmore Park Kindergarten we acknowledge and pay respect to the First Peoples of Australia and to the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we live and play, the Yuggera and Turrbal peoples. In our practices and pedagogy, we continually strive to promote reconciliation and build a culturally safe environment of respect and acceptance, valuing the histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples. As we move forward on our journey to reconciliation, we will build meaningful relationships with the local First Nations community. We believe that reconciliation begins with creating connections and relationships with educators, children, families, the wider community and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and through respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our daily practices as well as continually seeking to build our knowledge. Hands up, hands down we are learning on Yuggera and Turrbal Ground.
