Bardon Community Kindy acknowledges that the Land where we play, learn and grow is Turrbal and Yuggera Country. We are committed to reconciliation by being inclusive and respectful of, and connected to the diverse and rich histories, cultures and contributions of First Nations Peoples.

We encourage our community to grow by embedding and embodying opportunities to learn and appreciate the cultures and customs of First Nations peoples and all people. We continue to ensure that our Kindy actively acknowledges and is inclusive of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and perspectives, whilst celebrating diversity of cultures.

We value all the joys and challenges of childhood experience and the amazing capacities of our children to ‘be’ in the moment. As such, we promote appropriate processes that allow us to learn from and appreciate the enduring cultures, perspectives, knowledges and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

We acknowledge Turrbal and Yuggera Peoples and their continuing connection to Mt Coot-tha and Bowman Park. For thousands of years these have been, and continue to be, a place for communities to gather, live and grow. Our community is the heart and soul of our Kindy and we continually strive to strengthen authentic community connectivity with all local Peoples and cultures, including Turrbal, Yuggera and all First Nations Peoples and cultures.
