Our vision for reconciliation is to be part of social change in Australia to ensure equality, equity and justice for all . Reconciliation in Australia should include the First Nations peoples having a voice in what happens to this country and to them. In all different ways, within government, education and locally. We believe that children are a big part of a reconciled future Australia, and as a learning community we are the key to education and learning about the true history of First Nations peoples. With our centre providing the opportunities to learn about First Nation peoples’ histories and cultures we are able to ensure that the children respectfully learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their lands, waterways and sky, they will learn about their ideas, knowledge and perspectives. Only then can then understand what we need to all stand together so all voices are heard and we can move forward together.
