First Early Learning Endeavour Hills is dedicated and committed to taking action towards and promoting reconciliation within our centre and wider community. Our vision for a reconciled Australia encompasses unity, equality and equity and the celebration of diversity, free of racism and bias for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians. We believe that every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child should feel a sense of belonging within their community and feel safe to confidently share and celebrate their cultural identities. We value the importance of having an awareness and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, knowledges and histories, especially from the Country our service is located on. We believe forming and maintaining respectful and reciprocal relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Elders, community, organisations and bodies will further enhance reconciliation driven by our service with children, staff and families all enriched by these experiences. We aim to embed authentic and meaningful learning and teaching practices within our centre that are rich in Bunurong histories and traditions and highlight the 5 Dimensions of Reconciliation.
