Our vision is to create an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are authentically embedded across and within the centre. We will provide meaningful opportunities to support our Educators to engage in regular reflection and engaging in professional learning opportunities to build on their knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures. We create a culturally responsive environment which is inclusive of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and perspectives. Educators will do this by ensuring the learning experience for all children is meaningful, place-based to our local area and always respectful and considerate of the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. Goodstart Early Learning Sunbury Barkly Street is a wholly inclusive centre which appreciates and respects all groups and cultures and incorporates learning and activities for children to grow in their knowledge of diversity and inclusivity.
