At Goodstart Dennington we continually build respectful and trusting relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. As a team we will continue to further our knowledge of the local traditions and continuing contributions of the Peek Whurrong people of the Marr and Gunditjmara Nation, promoting reconciliation within our service and the wider Goodstart community of practice.
We provide ongoing opportunities for children to actively engage, recognise and deepen our understanding of the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures. We will achieve this through play-based learning, and respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives through our daily practices.
