At Goodstart Torquay we are committed to continuously developing and expanding on our understanding of true reconciliation, demonstrating our active respect for the Traditional Custodians of the Land that we are situated on, the Wadawurrung People of the Kulin Nation and for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the continent. We will continue to work towards supporting the children, families and educators to recognise the true meaning of reconciliation. We will continue to strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians. Reconciliation, to us, means fostering a culturally safe and responsive environment within our centre that is welcoming for all people and creating a space where people feel safe to be themselves and have the opportunity to share their customs and cultures. Whether they are a staff member, child, family or visitor, we want everyone to experience equality and equity within our community.
