Our vision for reconciliation is to support the Beaumaris community in understanding and respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and recognising the deep cultural foundations of Australia, pre colonisation and encouragereflection on their own cultural identities.
Our vision is to raise children who respect and acknowledge diversity, and grow up knowing that reconciliation is something we all create together through our actions, our relationships, and our hearts. As a centre our vision is to promote a learning environment in which we develop, foster, and promote knowledge and respect of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, perspectives and cultures. To respect their land, their waterways and skies, our focus is on the sustainable lifestyle of the Bunuwrong Land.
We are committed to building and maintaining a respectful connection with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We endeavour to promote respect for the continuing connection that Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Traditional Owners and Custodians have with the Land on which our learning centre stands.
