Reconciliation is about strengthening the relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Islander people, non Indigenous people for the benefit of all Australian people. Our vision for reconciliation at Goodstart Cheltenham is to deepen children, educators and families understandings of the diverse and rich cultures and histories of First Nations people. Our service acknowledges and supports, a feeling of unity between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torre Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Land and demonstrate respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories and perspectives. We are respectfully embedding authentic learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples into our service in respectful partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and the local community. We are implementing respectful and educational opportunities for children and families, creating an inclusive and culturally responsive community that continually works together on our reconciliation journey. We understand that our RAP journey will be an ongoing and continuous one and are committed as a service to continually reflect, enhance and develop our knowledge educating ourselves to always strive for better ways to support reconciliation
