Goodstart Early Learning Blackburn South is committed to promoting cultural responsiveness for all members of our Service and the wider community and respectfully including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives, knowledges and cultures within our everyday practice. We strive to build respectful and trusting relationships with the Traditional Owners to provide a service inclusive of everyone, and includes the Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation; their children, their families and our community while working towards reconciliation with a focus on equality; equity and respect. We believe our vision for reconciliation can be accomplished through respectfully developing relationships and connections within the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community while respectfully embedding the Wurundjeri nation and broader Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's knowledges and histories into everyday practices and educational programs.
