At Bridge Road ELC we are committed to educating children, families, educators, and the community in the importance of reconciliation.
We, as a service, will continue to respectfully engage with and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. At Bridge Road ELC we are consistently working to build and strengthen our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous communities to advance reconciliation.
Our focus is to continue to build a respectful understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, perspectives and histories through our daily practices, and to respectfully embed this growing understanding within the service environment and operations. It is important that, within our community, families and children are provided culturally responsive opportunities to develop connections with, and understandings of the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures across Australia.
Bridge Road ELC’s Reconciliation Action Plan is a formal statement of our ongoing commitment to reconciliation that we will continue to engage with as an active, living document to support the development of respectful relationships and meaningful opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
