At the heart of our reconciliation journey at Ness Reserve Pre-School lie the principles of kinship, equality and equity, harmony and acceptance.
Our vision for reconciliation is to cultivate a community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are not just heard but truly listened to, where they are not merely acknowledged but genuinely recognised, and where they are not just included but deeply valued. Through genuine dialogue, respect and meaningful actions, we aspire to build bridges of understanding and solidarity, and foster a future where every individual feels a sense of belonging, dignity and shared purpose.
We recognise that the pathway to reconciliation is ongoing and as such we commit to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our kindergarten program. We will do this by seamlessly immersing our Ness community including committee, staff, families, children and the wider community in learning opportunities that support a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ ways of knowing and learning.
Together, as a community, we endeavour to weave a tapestry of unity, diversity, and mutual respect, honouring the rich heritage and unique contributions of all peoples, and forging a path towards a more inclusive, and harmonious society for generations to come.
