At Goodstart Bendoran Crescent, our vision for reconciliation is to foster a culturally safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories are genuinely valued, embedded and celebrated every day.
We are committed to building strong, meaningful relationships with the local First Nations community, grounded in trust, respect and ongoing collaboration. We honour the Wurundjeri people as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we learn and play, and we recognise their enduring connection to Country, culture and community.
Through intentional practice, we aim to create opportunities for children, families and educators to learn from and alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, nurturing a sense of belonging, understanding and shared responsibility.
We envision a future where reconciliation is lived through our actions, where equity, respect and cultural awareness guide our decisions, and where every child grows with a deep appreciation of Australia's First Peoples and their rich and continuing cultures.
