Our vision for reconciliation is to visibly respect and acknowledge the unique connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have to the Land on which our childcare is situated and to build genuine, respectful relationships between all children and families who attend our service and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We understand that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people represent our nation's First People's and that their wisdom, knowledge and traditions are important to all that live here. This will enable us to champion quality outcomes in early childhood education and care, with our ability to influence and guide the future generations, one child at a time. Goodstart Glenroy recognises the culture and traditions of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge the rich cultural histories of Lands across Australia and will teach the truths of these histories, and our nation’s shared history since colonization, to children, families and educators.
