Our vision for reconciliation at Goodstart Early Learning Taylors Hill, located on Wurrundgeri Land, is about actively acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as our nation's First Peoples. To move forward in our reconciliation journey, we must first recognise and accept Australia’s true histories to educate the children, families and ourselves. This means addressing the injustices and inequalities experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples since colonisation while simultaneously recognising their strength and resilience. We are committed to finding authentic and meaningful ways to connect and engage with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our local community and welcome our present and future families of Goodstart Taylors Hill to be a part of this with us. We will facilitate opportunities to engage with Elders and Traditional Owners as we continue our reconciliation journey. We believe this will foster a learning environment that is culturally safe and supportive. We are committed to gaining a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and learning by unlearning and relearning from our community's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
