Our vision for Reconciliation at Goodstart Early Learning Keilor Village is to welcome and respect all people as individuals and be accepting of a diverse community. We want to build trusting relationships and commit to respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Through an inclusive curriculum and our Reconcilation Action Plan, we will continue to ensure reconciliation is a continuous process embedded in our daily practices, helping children, educators and families develop an understanding of unity, respect and cultural awareness. Our vision for reconciliation is for Goodstart Early Learning Keilor Village is to engage with reconciliation on both a personal and professional level, creating the conditions that ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social justice, equality and equity. Through this vision, we are laying the foundations to grow future generations that value and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritages as a proud part of a shared identity. We acknowledge the links that both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have with the ancient history of Australia through the Lands on which our early learning environments have been created.
