Our vision at Point Cook CLC Kindergarten for reconciliation is to build and continue to strengthen genuine relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, in particular the local Bunurong community. We aim to respectfully learn about First Nation Peoples’ cultures, languages and histories and commit to sharing these truths with staff, children, families and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and wider community. We continue to ensure that we are culturally responsive, infusing knowledge into practice. We aim to become allies with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and we aim to consider how we honour and respect their rights, history and culture in all levels of our service delivery.
