At Somers Parade Kindergarten, we acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the Traditional Custodians of Australia and their diverse cultures continue to be living and thriving. We are committed to fostering positive relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians through our everyday practices and program. We are committed to understanding the ongoing impact of colonization and our shared history. We will continue to work with the First Nations community to learn about the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and ongoing contributions and how they impact on the identityof all Australians today in our service. We are committed to promoting equal and equitable opportunities for all, and we will continue to encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to access our early childhood service as well as other services within the community.
