To the educators at Nicholls Early Childhood Centre reconciliation means, committing to come together and grow as one. We accept, support and acknowledge each other’s views, and work together to respectfully recognise the history of the Traditional Peoples of this Land.
We continue to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures into our everyday practices. In our service, we work collaboratively with families, educators, children, the community and local Ngunnawal people to continually look for ways to improve and advocate for inclusive Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander focused programs and practices.
It is our role as educators to work towards a reconciled Australia, starting by teaching our youngest citizens to understand, collaborate and be inclusive to shape the future.
