At Gilgandra Preschool we consider reconciliation as acceptance and acknowledgement of Australia's true histories, as we work in unison towards a future of equality and equity. We endeavour to ensure that the perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Peoples are respectfully and authentically shown throughout our program, and visible in our wider Preschool environment., and respectful opportunities provided for culture to be shared from the many family members who visit our service. Kinship is recognised as a vital influence in our children's lives and is acknowledged through the ongoing development of respectful partnerships with our families and wider community. We feel that our children are our future, and by supporting, fostering connections with, and celebrating First Nations cultures among the children in our preschool community, true healing towards reconciliation can begin.
