As a service we have the opportunity and responsibility to develop children's, families' and all those within our sphere of influence's understanding of reconciliation in a meaningful way, through our programs, practices and relationships with the local community. Our vision is to incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, perspectives, and traditions in a respectful manner into our daily practices and learning experiences in order to acknowledge and honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our service sits.

Our centre is committed to working collaboratively with families to ensure our service is a reconciled centre and shows respect to all cultures and traditions. We believe this is the first step towards a reconciled Australia where equal and equitable opportunities are given to all without preconceived bias or racism. We are committed to building on the strengths of our reconciliation journey thus far by continuing to be an inclusive and welcoming centre towards all cultures, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. We are committed to continuing to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander content and perspectives into our service resourcing and curriculum, so that children can engage with these on an everyday basis and to make our families feel welcome at our service.

We are privileged to have First Nations people on staff here at Evolve Early Learning Centre and we value the knowledge that they bring to our service in this journey to reconciliation; it has benefited all the children, staff and families who attend our centre, as they learn about First Peoples' cultures first-hand. We also gratefully support these staff members and understand the burden of sharing their cultures with us.
