Our service’s vision for reconciliation is to continue to build and maintain strong connections and relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We will consistently incorporate culturally respectful practices and curriculum activities within our service in a non-tokenistic manner. We aim to encourage and provide opportunities for our educators to participate in professional development to extend their knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and of inclusive teaching strategies.
Our vision is to be actively engaged in community events as well as to provide a culturally safe service environment and culturally responsive opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members to collaborate on education experiences with team members and children.
We are committed to shaping our service into becoming an inclusive facility that actively respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and pedagogies, all the while respectfully engaging all children in learning about the importance of reconciliation, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures and contributions.
