The team at Snowy Mountains Care & Early Learning Centre service are committed to developing our knowledge of the First Nations peoples of Australia, their histories, cultures, languages, values and traditions. We aim to respectfully embed our learned knowledge into our daily practice to help all young people grow to become active participants in the reconciliation journey. We commit to driving reconciliation by including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures into our infrastructure and practice. We hope to identify and build ongoing and respectful relationships with the local and wider Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We see ourselves as strong advocates in promoting respect for the First Nations peoples of Australia within the classroom, around the early learning service and within the Jindabyne community.
