As part of our commitment to reconciliation, we acknowledge the past colonial injustices that continue to impact Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and also acknowledge the continued strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We acknowledge the value of educating children about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples true histories, perspectives, heritages and continuing contributions, which we can do through respectful engagement and relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, their stories, histories, artefacts, languages, art and music. Our vision is of a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are actively acknowledged, respected, supported, and celebrated.
