Reconciliation Action Plans are making a difference across Australia in workplaces, universities, schools, and organisations. Rainforest Early Learning Centre is excited to embark on their very own RAP journey encouraging their service’s community to commit to walking the journey of reconciliation together. Rainforest Early Learning Centre acknowledges the important contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have made to our country and endeavours to respectfully and appropriately include First Nations peoples’ perspectives and histories into the service’s daily routines and in the planning of children’s learning journey and by creating a culturally responsive space. We believe that all Australians, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, deserve equal and equitable opportunities to participate freely and equally in areas of public life and equal and equitable educational opportunities. Rainforest ELC is committed to teaching their younger community members about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s histories, cultures and rights, thus promoting trust and respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous Australians throughout society.
