Goodstart Shell Cove's vision for reconciliation is for all Australians to work together to ensure equal and equitable opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by creating and maintaining a service that understands what it means to meaningfully acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, living cultures, stories and histories, while ensuring this is represented in all aspects of our service and represented through all areas of society. Our vision for reconciliation is to work in collaboration with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the local community to learn about how to create equal, equitable, and respectful educational learning opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities. We will work to ensure that Goodstart Shell Cove is is culturally responsive, safe, rich and proud. Through this vision, we are laying the foundations to grow current and future generations that recognise and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and heritages as an important part of a shared identity.
