At Casino Baptist Church Christian Community Preschool our vision is a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are recognised as the First Nations peoples and Traditional Custodians of the Lands throughout Australia. We provide learning opportunities for children, educators and families to develop an understanding of what it means to live on Bundjalung Land and the significant role of the Elders, past and present and future. Through building meaningful connections with the local Bundjalung community, Elders and other First Nations peoples and learning about rich and diverse First Nations cultures, we create a culturally responsive environment for all. Through our commitment to reconciliation, we are contributing to an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and educators feel a sense of belonging.
