VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision will guide our journey as we celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and peoples throughout our organisation and in our local communities hence our strong commitment to developing and following a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). We are making a solid commitment to our reconciliation journey. Nambucca Valley Family Day Care has an existing strong partnership with the community and with the implementation of our Narragunnawali RAP, we are hoping to strengthen our relationships with and show respect for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our community as our colleagues, community members and clients of our Education and Care services. Our interactions with the community will be active and promote meaningful inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our curriculum and daily practice. We will achieve this through building mutually beneficial partnerships improving the effectiveness and reach of our programs, projects, and services. Nambucca Valley Family Day Care is committed to celebrating the unique cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and lived experiences is fundamental to strengthening inclusion within the community. We are determined to make Nambucca Valley Family Day Care an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, staff, volunteers and families feel welcomed, included, and supported. Our commitment to the successful implementation of the Nambucca Valley Family Day Care RAP is clearly embedded into the governance of our organisation.
