At Gwydir Day Care & Preschool, we envision a future where reconciliation is understood, respected, and lived every day within our learning community in Moree, on Kamilaroi people Country.  We are committed to fostering respect and understanding of Australia's true histories, and to acknowledging and celebrating the ongoing contributions, strength, and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their cultures.   

As a community, we strive to learn from the past and walk forward together by listening to and learning from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise the importance of their voices, knowledge, and leadership as we continue to do better and be better.   

We are dedicated to embedding an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples deep and continuing connections to Country into our daily practice. Through inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments, we will nurture a sense of pride and belonging for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families and all children and families.   

We will respectfully inspire all children to learn about and engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures through play, storytelling, community connections, and meaningful experiences. By building and maintaining strong relationships with local Elders and community members, we aim to create a shared journey of learning, respect, and reconciliation for future generations.
