At Thrive Kids Family Day Care, our vision is to nurture a culturally safe, inclusive and child-safe environment where every child, educator, family and visitor feels respected, valued and welcomed. We are committed to upholding the rights, safety and wellbeing of all children, recognising that cultural safety and child safety are inseparable.
We strive to create culturally safe spaces where reconciliation is seen, felt and lived every day. We honour and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Nations cCustodians of this land and recognise the enduring strength, knowledge and contributions of the worlds oldest continuing cultures.
Through respectful, trusting and reciprocal relationships, we endeavour to foster a strong sense of belonging for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, educators, families and community members. We are committed to listening to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices and doing everything we can to ensure children feel safe expressing their identity, culture and perspectives.
Thrive Kids is dedicated to continuous learning, growth and reflection to deepen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, being and doing. We seek to authentically embed First Nations cultures, histories and perspectives into our learning environments and everyday practices in ways that are meaningful, respectful and child-centred.
By sharing these knowledge perspectives appropriately within our learning community, we hope to empower children, families and educators to become respectful allies and future leaders in Australias ongoing reconciliation journey grounded in safety, inclusion, understanding and respect.
