VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

The Awabakal Land is the Aboriginal Land on which we play and learn each day here at Carey Bay Preschool. We pay respect to Elders, both past, present and emerging, and extend this to all First Nations peoples in our community. We continue to connect and build strong and meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our preschool community with authenticity and pride.  Carey Bay Preschool is committed to reconciliation and closing the gap of equity and equality in education.  Therefore, we are proud of our Narragunnawali Reconciliation Action Plan in which we actively work towards in our curriculum through educators' commitment to an ongoing learning journey in building respect, understanding and knowledge of First Nations Peoples perspectives and cultures. We continue to respectfully embed First Nations peoples perspectives and cultures into our programs and utilise the various learning opportunities to ensure that all students and staff are able to access learning opportunities to deepen the knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and perspectives.
