Our vision is to ensure educators within our services are able to authentically embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within all educational experiences, practices and relationships. Incorporated under the guiding principles of the National Quality Framework, the expectation is that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are valued throughout all educational services to inspire learning that is ethically considered.
The vision of Kindy Patch Bonnells Bay reflects upon these diverse practices in a way that is authentic and culturally considerate. We are committed to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are respectfully embedded within all facets of our early learning environment practices and policies, which will deepen our relationship within the community and the established community-based initiatives.
Our service endeavours to create a space where there is a strong understanding of the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identities and cultures. We will continue to forge strong relationships within our community to ensure we are providing children with learning experiences that are developed with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, Thus, creating a culturally considerate environment built upon the concept of harmony.
In addition to supporting children to meaningfully engage with authentic experiences to develop their own connection to reconciliation, our vision is for educators and children confidently and respectfully engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.
We will continue to promote the inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of being and knowing within the educational environment.
