VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Goodstart Bankstown acknowledges and respects the traditional and continuing cultural heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Our team is committed to providing children with meaningful First Nations learning experiences that deepen their understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives.

Through the development of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we ensure that these cultures, histories, and perspectives are respected,  recognised, and embedded in our daily practice and learning environments.

We are dedicated to fostering a connected and nurturing community built on respectful and reciprocal relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to honouring their voices, perspectives, and contributions in shaping children's learning at Goodstart Bankstown.

We recognise the intergenerational trauma and ongoing challenges faced by First Nations communities, and we honour the strength, resilience, and enduring spirit of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the face of discrimination and disadvantage.

At Goodstart Bankstown, we are committed to the process of reconciliation and to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures within our service. We believe that building understanding and respect for the world's oldest living cultures enriches our community and strengthens our shared future.
