We have a vision for reconciliation that sees Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of all Lands across Australia living in communities where cultures and knowledges are respected by all. We envision a future of equity, justice, remuneration, honour, care and love for all First Nations peoples.
Our vision is of a harmonious country, where citizens look to the traditional ways of caring for Country, learned and practiced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for tens of thousands of years. Natural and sacred sites are protected, and First Nations Peoples are consulted in matters concerning such places.
We envision an education system where children are authentically taught about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and continuing contributions, and where children are taught respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures throughout all education settings. Our vision is for the cultures and spirit of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, past and present to flow through Australia’s children, families and educators and creates a bright future of respect and where all children can live in peace and harmony.
