Bright Start Kidz' vision for reconciliation is to recognise and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and create a more unified nation. We strongly commit to valuing diversity, inclusive practice and participation within our education and care service. We respectfully learn and, where possible, share Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's stories to promote the development of positive learning environments for each child, which, in turn, upholds the best interest of all children, educators, families and the community.
We demonstrate our commitment to reconciliation by actively recognising the Darug People as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our Childcare Centre is located. We continue to build respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to create a culture of understanding, mutual respect and healing. In doing so, we work to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are recognised, celebrated and respectfully embedded throughout our learning program and environment.
