Here at First Grammar Castle Hill, reconciliation is about the strengthening of relationships between the First Nations people and non-Indigenous people, for the benefit of all Australians. We believe a reconciled centre is inclusive of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children’s right to education, to equal and equitable educations opportunities. We also believe in an inclusive childcare setting that accepts all First Nations children and provides opportunities for children to reach their full potential. Teachers and educators at First Grammar Castle Hill respectfully include the perspectives of the First Nations peoples within their service programs - We are proud to honour and celebrate the importance of the First Nation’s peoples with the children, family, and community throughout our service and our educators provide authentic opportunities for learning. We understand and acknowledge that exploring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and ways of being and knowing forms a basis for our diverse and shared Australian identity. We extend the appreciation and awareness of the rich First Nations peoples’ cultures into the community as well. This will be done through our interactions with the families in our centre.
