Papilio Early Learning & Preschool Bella Vista actively acknowledges and demonstrates our value of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultural histories, heritages, and traditions. Our vision for reconciliation is a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are actively recognised as the First Nations peoples of Australia. Where all Australians value Elders past, present, and emerging for the wisdom and knowledge they hold, and support emerging leaders in local communities to ensure an equal and equitable future for all. Our vision is that all children, staff, and families feel a sense of belonging to our learning community and establish and maintain respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members. We will ensure that we respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives, histories and heritages within our daily practices and critically reflect on our RAP actions. We strive to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultural identities are respected and that all children are recognised and nurtured as the creators, thinkers, and actors of today and tomorrow.
