Kids Early Education Pre-School/Long Day Care honours the enduring cultures, histories and knowledges of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and acknowledges their continuing connection to Country, community and culture.
Our vision for reconciliation is grounded in respect, reflection, and ongoing learning. As a service, we are committed to building our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in ways that are genuine, thoughtful and appropriate for our context. We aim to create a culturally safe and inclusive environment where children, families and educators are supported to learn about and appreciate the richness and diversity of First Nations peoples cultures through everyday experiences, conversations and curriculum.
We are working towards a community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and staff feel respected, safe and a strong sense of belonging within our service. We value the importance of maintaining connections to family, culture and Country, and we are committed to reflecting on our practice, building respectful relationships and taking meaningful steps big and small towards reconciliation alongside all children and families.
