Our vision at Concord Kindergarten is to continue to visibly and actively respect and acknowledge the unique connections that Aboriginal and Torres Strat Islander peoples have to the Land on which our Kindergarten is situated - Wangal Land - and to build genuine, respectful relationships between all children and families who attend our service an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. In doing so, we commit to further developing our own personal knowledge about reconciliation, and about Australia's First Nations Peoples, histories, cultures and contributions, so that our practice will be relevant, meaningful and reflective of the past, present and future caretakers of our community. We will utilise authentic resources to build children’s knowledge and will encourage and support all educators to further their own knowledge through critical reflection, research, professional development opportunities and by referencing the EYLF for best practice guidelines.
