North Ryde Early Learning Centre recognises and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our service is located. We honour their continuing connection to land, culture, and community, and pay respect to Elders past and present.
Our vision for reconciliation is to create a culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where every child, family, and educator feels a strong sense of belonging. We are committed to embedding understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and contributions into our curriculum and daily practice in ways that are accurate, respectful, and meaningful.
As educators, we acknowledge our responsibility to nurture appreciation and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures in current and future generations. Our commitment to reconciliation is ongoing as we believe reconciliation is everyones responsibility and an essential part of providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
