At North Ryde Community Preschool, our vision for reconciliation is providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our community, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We are dedicated to actively engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, traditions and continuing contributions. We strive to deepen our own knowledge through education and by connecting with local Elders. We will educate our preschool children and families by respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in all aspects of our program.
Reconciliation to us means restoring relationships and building connections, acknowledging past wrong doings, and saying sorry.
We acknowledge and recognise that the Wallumattagal people of the Dharug Nation are the Traditional owners of the Land that we play and learn on at preschool.
We look forward to sharing our knowledge about all that we are learning with our preschool families. We will continue to value diversity including the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and perspectives every day at preschool.
