Our vision for reconciliation is to continue to further our knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories and cultures, and to respectfully share that knowledge with all children and families in our service. We would like to build stronger connections with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the local community.
We will continue to authentically embed First Nations’ perspectives through our curriculum and in our fortnightly curriculum planning to enable the children to understand the significant contributions made by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Australia, to recognise First Nations’ knowledge and practice of protecting Country and sustainable ways of living and caring for the Land.
We aim to work towards reconciliation through acknowledgment, Truth-telling and respect.
