Rose Cottage vision for reconciliation is to deepen our understandings and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, spirituality and beliefs.
Reconciliation is a journey that we are on together with our families, children, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the wider community. Connections are what we seek with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and peoples so that we can build mutual respect and genuine relationships.
We will always acknowledge the Wangal andGadigal People of the Eora Nation who are the Traditional Custodians of the Land our service is on and extend our respect and acknowledgement to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
As part of our teaching practice, we acknowledge the strengths of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the historical injustices they endured. Reconciliation to Rose Cottage means sharing this with our children and families so that we can celebrate the significance of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and work towards unity and equality together as one.
