At Emanuel Woollahra Preschool (EWP), we see reconciliation as an ongoing journey of truth-telling, respect, and learningsomething we are all part of, every day. We acknowledge the true histories of Australia and the continuing impacts of past and current injustices on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. Were committed to building a future where every child has equal and equitable  outcomes and opportunities to reach their full potential through fair and inclusive learning. Our vision is reconciliation is for an Australia that values and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, celebrates the richness of First Nations cultures, and recognises the deep knowledge and connections to Country held by Traditional Owners and Custodians. We believe reconciliation is a shared responsibility that involves all of uschildren, families, educators, and the wider community. At EWP, we are committed to weaving reconciliation through everything we doour learning programs, relationships, and everyday moments. Our Reconciliation Action Plan supports us in embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives and cultures in meaningful, respectful ways. We aim to build and maintain strong, ongoing partnerships with First Nations children, families, communities, and organisationswalking alongside each other and learning together. As educators, we are in a special position to help shape the current and next generations understanding of fairness, culture, and respect. We will continue to honour and include diverse First Nations voices in our curriculum and community, helping children, educators and famiies grow with a deep appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures, and contributions. Together, with families and community, we are working towards a more just, inclusive, and reconciled Australiastarting here, at EWP.
