Our vision for reconciliation is an Australia where all people are united in their understanding, respect, and celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of this Land. We aspire to live in a country where Elders, past and present, and all First Nations peoples are deeply valued for their wisdom, cultural knowledge, and the unique ways they connect with and care for Country. We envision a nation where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples feel connected, respected, and recognised for their enduring contributions to our shared story. As a company serving the Centennial Park community, we are committed to working in genuine partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations as we ensure our curriculum is culturally safe, relevant, and inclusive.
Through our role in early childhood education, we strive to nurture generations of children, educators and families both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous people grow to become inspired, compassionate leaders that honour and share their understandings of First Nations peoples and cultures.
We aim to respectfully learn and incorporate words from the Gadigal language to help our children build a stronger connection to the local Aboriginal community. Every day, children in our care will engage with meaningful First Nations resources and experiences that celebrate and embed the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in authentic and lasting ways. We acknowledge the deep spiritual connections that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples hold with Country, and we commit to fostering respect in our daily practices, teaching children to care for and appreciate the land on which we live, learn, and grow.
