At Milestones Wagaman, we respectfully acknowledge the Larrakia people as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we play and learn. We are committed to walking alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, children, staff and community in the spirit of reconciliation, truth-telling, and mutual respect. Our vision is to ensure all edcuators have a strong understanding of how to embed First Nations perspectives meaningfully and appropriately throughout our curriculum, drawing from the wisdom, resilience, and richness of the worlds oldest living cultures. We strive to deepen our understanding of reconciliation by working with Traditional Custodians to learn about Country, kinship, and connection, fostering two-way learning that values shared histories, by fostering a service that is built on equality and equity . Together as a learning community, we will continue to strengthen the relationships we have with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. Through these relationships we will continue to deepen our understanding of how to learn about the past, stand strong in the present, and nurture a future of unity, equity, and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and all children and families in our community.
